Here's a list of the latest updates to the Road Intelligence Platform.
❗ Heads up: We will be Merging Intersection into Path Analysis
In upcoming updates, we will be merging intersection analysis into path analysis to increase the accuracy of the data around intersections. We will continue to update users in the lead-up to the merge.
New Features
We've compressed the file size of .Ciot
Larger .ciot files, particularly ones with lots of trajectory data, are now compressed by as much as up to 95%. They will download as .zip files. This doesn't impact older .ciot files and they can be imported as usual. You can still access uncompressed files by turning on Advanced Mode under the profile icon and selecting them from the Export Data dropdown list in the Results Panel.
Toggle Trajectory paths on and off based on number of stops
We've added the ability to toggle trajectory paths on and off based on the number of stops. This improves visibility at locations with a large number of vehicle trajectories rendering on the graphs.
New Error Handling for Paths with no data
We've added better error handling for path selections that have no data when you have multiple paths selected. You'll now see 'No Data' appear over path selections that have low or no data when you have one or more paths selected.
Bug Fixes
We fixed a token expiry issue
Some users would receive an error message about authentication when logging in. We've made a fix to automatically try re-authorise if the request fails to prevent this from happening.
We fixed a bug where flipping the trajectory graphs impacted map visuals
There was a cross-over issue where reversing the direction of the trajectory charts also reversed the direction of the car icon on map visuals. This didn't impact data or results, only the car icon.
We fixed visuals in the origin-destination tool
We fixed an edge case that would cause data to not render properly when opening O-D in specific ways, and inconsistencies in labelling.
We improved UX on the time selector
Selecting a time now implements a default range, prevents duplicates, and correctly updates.
We fixed a bug where trajectory data wasn't saving to older .ciot files
Now, if you save and update an older .ciot file with trajectory data, it will appear automatically without needing to re-query trajectory each time it is uploaded.
Other updates and fixes:
- We expanded the colours when selecting more than 9 linestrings in path analysis
- We fixed a state bug in the trajectory graph key where it wouldn't update to match changes to time selections unless you hovered over it
- We optimised map visuals for Microsoft Edge and other browsers
- We added a banner for trajectory graphs to remind you that you can only view trajectory for one path selection at a time
- We've temporarily removed 'All' pathing from Origin-Destination. Some users found an error that caused all paths to be highlighted in red. Results are unaffected.
