Here's a list of the latest updates to the Road Intelligence Platform
Origin-Destination Edge ID Feature
We've added a tool that allows you to see information about travel patterns and trip characteristics of vehicles travelling from Zone to Zone in the Origin-Destination tool.
The road network is made up of nodes and edges. An Edge is a section of road with a given Edge ID that is predefined by Open Street Map (OSM). This new feature allows you to see the usage of these edges.
Hovering over different Edges you will get the Edge Usage Ranking (EUR). It's a number to validate why the edge is colour-coded in that particular colour based on the most used edge. For example, red indicates a greater proportion of vehicles used that route compared to other routes whereas blue indicates the least popular routes used by vehicles to travel between the origins and destinations.
We recommend zooming in to the map to see all the edges, particularly if you want to select edge IDs on routes taken by fewer vehicles (indicated as yellow and blue edges on the map).
Edge ID .csv Export
We've added the ability to download a .csv of the percentile of all trips and percentile of vehicle type by origin and destinations. It includes information about the edge, linestrings, Vehicle type, and percentile information.
You can find this under the Export File button located at the top right-hand corner of the Origin-Destination results panel.
