Troubleshooting: Platform Login

This article outlines some troubleshooting steps users can take if they are having login issues.

We recommend using Single Sign On (SSO). This prevents login emails being caught in spam filters or being blocked by your organisation.

There are 2 ways to login to Compass Road Intelligence:

  1. Magic Link - Requires the email you registered with Compass; no passwords required. An email is sent to your inbox with a login link.

  2. Single Sign On (SSO) - Uses Microsoft or Google to login via your organisation. It doesn't require a Magic Link email. 

The most common login issue is a missing Magic Link Email. There are a few steps we suggest to address this:

  • Whitelisting Compass - We recommend asking your IT department to whitelist Compass domains and email addresses. The Magic Link comes from a donotreply email address, which can lead to emails being blocked by firewalls and security entirely.
  • Checking Spam - Sometimes the Magic Link email is diverted to Spam or a secondary email folder. We recommend checking additional folders outside of your primary inbox.
  • Using SSO - SSO does not require a Magic Link email. We strongly recommend this login method for most organisations. It may require your IT department to set up the initial permissions, but it solves the common issues associated with Magic Link (i.e., spam filtering). This article walks through SSO.
