Intersection Analysis - How to select an intersection

Click and drag the centre of an intersection you wish to analyse to create a circle. Release your mouse to confirm your circle selection.

To select an intersection, click the Intersection Selection tool located in the Intersections panel. Click and drag the centre of an intersection you wish to analyse to create a circle. Release your mouse to confirm your circle selection.

Similar to other Road Intelligence tools, you can change the colour, edit the name, zoom into, or cancel any selections in the Intersections panel.

Notes on best practice:

We recommend checking your selection by toggling on the satellite view of the map to ensure you have correctly selected the intersection.

Please note that if the circle drawn is too big, then it might affect some of the metrics exposed by the product like average travel time or Free Flow Speed, and it might also capture some of the side roads that might be present near an intersection but are not a part of the intersection. On the other hand, if the circle drawn is too small, it might miss some of the legs of the intersection. The circle needs to be just big enough to just intersect with each of the legs that are a part of the intersection (Pls note, the circle does not need to contain the entire leg of the intersection, just touch it or intersect it).
